As a Field Service Technician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing equipment such as integrated systems, subsystems, and software at our retail locations. You will provide technical assistance and perform preventative maintenance on existing systems. We are looking for an individual who enjoys technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site IT support during construction phase of new retail stores, coordinating with our in-house retail team and external contractors.
  • Configure networking infrastructure, including ISP gateways, routers, switches, Wi-Fi APs, and physical cabling.
  • Configure and test multimedia store displays, digital signage, audio systems, and security systems.
  • Install and configure VoIP telephony equipment, desktop PCs, and printers.
  • Provide support to store manager and salespeople during opening; assist with initial logins, account access, and usage of store systems.
  • While not working on new store build-outs, provide remote support to existing retail stores, in conjunction with Miami-based helpdesk team.
  • Keep track of equipment inventory allocated to retail stores, and advise IT management of needed repairs, RMAs, and purchases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role,
  • Familiarity with video surveillance and access control systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi equipment and Grandstream VoIP hardware is a plus.
  • TIL, A+, and/or Network+ certifications are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows and MacOS in a professional setting.
  • Experience assembling, repairing, and upgrading PCs.
  • Strong ability to diagnose technical problems and implement effective resolutions.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to provide clear step-by-step instructions to non-technical staff, work with vendors on issue escalations, and communicate technical detail effectively with IT team.
